Brain Mapping
Brain Mapping: Your Personalized Starting Point
Before beginning neurofeedback training, many clients start with a tool called a qEEG Brain Map—short for quantitative electroencephalogram. It’s a simple, non-invasive way to record and analyze your brainwave activity to better understand how your brain is functioning.
How the Process Works

Schedule Free Consult
Book a complimentary 30-minute phone consultation to explore the potential of qEEG Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback therapy. During the call, we will address any inquiries you have and assess whether this treatment could be advantageous for you.

Complete your qEEG Brain Map and Review Results
Visit the clinic for your Brain Mapping session to assess your baseline brainwave activity and identify patterns linked to your mental health challenges. We will analyze your results and provide valuable insights into your brain’s unique functioning.

Start Sessions
Complete 2-3 weekly neurofeedback therapy sessions. Treatment duration typically ranges from 20 sessions, based on qEEG Brain Mapping results and individual response.

Choose a Maintenance Plan for You
After achieving your treatment goals, occasional follow-up sessions may be needed, much like regular maintenance for a car. Skylar will guide you on the frequency and timing of any additional treatments needed to sustain optimal brain function.
What is a Brain Map (qEEG)?
A Brain Map uses a cap with sensors placed on your scalp to measure your brain’s electrical activity. It’s completely safe, non-invasive, and painless. We simply ask you to sit still—eyes open and closed—for a few minutes while we collect data from different areas of your brain. The entire process typically takes about 30-45 minutes.
Once we gather this information, we compare it to a database of healthy brain patterns. This helps us identify any areas that may be underactive, overactive, or out of balance.

Why it matters
The Brain Map is like an x-ray for your mind. It helps us see what’s really going on beneath the surface—things like dysregulation, stress patterns, or areas tied to focus, mood, sleep, and more.
Instead of guessing what your brain needs, we use this real data to build a customized neurofeedback protocol. This ensures we’re targeting the right areas and helping your brain shift toward healthier, more optimal function.
In short:
- A Brain Map helps us understand how your brain is working.
- It takes the guesswork out of care.
- It allows us to create a personalized plan based on real data—not just symptoms.
- And most importantly, it helps us get results that last.
